at 6:45 pm in the Choir Room followed by the 8th Grade Band Parents
Meeting at 7:30. All parents of music students are invited to attend.

Hudson High School Chamber Orchestra is fund-raising with Malley's
Chocolates of Cleveland, Ohio for a playing tour of Italy in the summer of
2010
Help us get this show on the road. Europeans love classical music and we
love chocolate. Our students have been honing their skills since elementary
school. Now they have a chance to show their talents in the land of Vivaldi!
We are hoping with your help that we can spread this message many times
over and sell lots of great chocolate.
This is for a limited time only. Orders can be placed through the internet up
until midnight on Monday, March 29th. Please order your favorite Malley's
Chocolates today and pass it on!
A web site has been setup specifically for the Orchestra fund-raising
campaign. All purchases made on that site will directly benefit our trip to
Italy.

President's Letter
Happy New Year!
We hope you are staying warm and are looking forward to of all of the
wonderful upcoming events that our students are involved with.
The Solo and Ensemble contest is Feb 13th. The Jazz Fest is scheduled for
Feb 27th. Both days will be filled with student performances from area high
schools. The Hudson jazz bands will perform during the day at the Jazz
Fest. The evening will conclude with a concert featuring The Loud Horns.
Our own Jazz I will open the show. Purchase your tickets today. This is sure
to be a great concert.
The Orchestra and Choir Holiday Concerts were wonderful. The band
dazzled the Toronto crowd at the halftime show for the Bills and Jets football
game. All of our music groups are now preparing for the upcoming
February and March concerts. Be sure to check out the calendar for
upcoming concerts, plays, and performances.
Thank you to the many volunteers who made the Tennessee trip fundraising
efforts successful. Special thanks to Rick and Joan Byers for chairing the
fruit sale and all those who purchased the goodies. A cookie dough
fundraiser is now underway to raise more funds for the trip. See inside for
more details.
The Hudson High School Music Association (HHSMA) meetings are usually
scheduled for the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm in the choir
room. Every music student parent is invited to come. These meetings are an
excellent way to stay informed. Of course, you are always welcome to
contact us if you need information, have concerns or want to volunteer.
